Gerard Pique says goodbye with an emotional message (VIDEO)

Gerard Pique suddenly announced his retirement. He retired from the Spanish national team in 2018. This legend finalized the decision to hang up the boots.

Pique announced on Thursday that he is also stepping down from his beloved club Barcelona.

Pique posted a 2-minute 17-second video on Twitter. There he gave an emotional message to the football world.

PQ said: ‘A lot of people have been talking about me in the last few weeks, months. I haven’t said anything until now. But now I will talk about myself. Like many of you, I have always been a Barcelona fan, born into a football family. From a very young age, I wanted to be a Barcelona player, not a footballer.’

He also said: ‘I’ve been thinking about that kid for a few days. What would little Gerard think if he had been told that all his dreams had come true? He will play in Barcelona’s starting eleven and Win all possible titles. One day he will become a European and World Champion by playing with the best in the world. He will be one of the team captains, he will be friends with many people for life!’

It has been 25 years since I joined Barcelona. I left, and I came again. Football gave me everything. Barcelona gave me everything. You, the fans, gave me everything. Now that all that boy’s dreams have come true, I want to tell you now that I have decided to end this journey. I’ve always said that after Barcelona there will be no team, that’s how it will be. This Saturday is my last day at Camp Nou.

Gerard Pique said, “I will be a Barcelona supporter again. I will support the club like before. The love for Barcelona will pass through my children. As my family does. Do you know me? I will be back today or tomorrow. See you at Camp Nou. Long live Barça. Always.”
